What forms of payment do you accept?

Most of our payments are made online. We do accept the following: Cash, e-check, check, bank transfers, M/C, Discover visa, master card, etc.

Do you have a payment schedule ?

Yes. Included with our agreement is an easy-to-follow payment schedule based on the benchmarks in your project, such as the date of the agreement, post demolition, during installation, and day of completion. You’ll know what amount is due at each progress level so your cash flow can be planned in advance.

Do you offer financing?

We do offer financing through 2 great lenders. During your estimate let the estimator know and will help you to apply.

Are you licensed & Insured ?

TradeMark is registered with the Maryland Home Improvement Commission (MHIC 95803 ), fully licensed in Maryland, and has 2 million in insurance coverage for your property and our employees. We are certified by the Environmental Protection Agency as a Lead-Safe Firm. We guarantee that only certified remodelers will be working on your home throughout the build.

How long have you been in business?

Proudly since 2000 as part-time and 2004 full time.

Can you provide company financial stability documentation?

Yes. We provide current letters of reference from our banking institution attesting to our long-term financial stability. We will also provide supplier references demonstrating the credit history of our company.

Do you have a showroom?

We do have a full showroom so you can avoid traveling to many different locations to make selections. We handle ordering and deliveries and any issues with the products. Our professional designer will help take the guesswork out of choosing materials, colors, designs and finishes. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, visits are currently by appointment only.

Will you install my own materials if I have them?

We generally do not take on projects using our client’s materials, though there are occasional exceptions.

Can you finish a job if another contractor started ?

The most of the time we do not like to work in a job that was start from another contractor, except if the client agrees to redo the entire project.

Once on a job, our license and insurance coverages become primary therefore we are liable should anything go wrong including work done by your previous contractor. That why we do not re do the work and re inspect the project from your county .

What types of projects don’t you do?

We don’t do concrete work . Block walls or brick , foundation work or roofing etc.

Do you have a fixed price proposal guarantee?

We believe a fixed price proposal is your only protection against faulty workmanship, substitute products and hidden charges. We guarantee our price for the work specified once your design work is completed. Unless you request and authorize a change order, TradeMark’s price is firm.

Do you offer a warranty for your work?

Yes, we provide a 2-year warranty for labor on all design-build and remodeling projects. In short, if any part of your installation fails due to workmanship issues during the first 2 years under normal wear and tear, we will fix it at no cost to you.

Do I need to have architectural plans for my project?

Some projects, such as home additions or extensions, do require architectural plans. Plans and your material selections are needed, for instance, to obtain permits, and connect with electrical, plumbing and HVAC professionals so we can provide you with accurate design and build pricing. In case, you don’t have an architect and you like us to step in we can help and hire an architect for you and manage the entire process from the beginning.

How do you communicate with me during the build process?

We work closely with you as we create plans and consider your product selections, so you’ll know before we begin what the final cost of the project will be. Prior to day one you will know exactly what is going to happen, when and why. During the build, we provide copies of our step-by-step building process detailing preparation and installation procedures. You will have weekly site meetings with your site’s Forman or Project Manager. These meetings are a great way for you to see and understand each step as your project takes shape. The crew will touch base with you before leaving the site each day. You will have access to your very own portal from which you can view the schedule of tasks and progress reports. You will have the opportunity each day to reply to a questionnaire regarding how you feel the project is going and if our crews are respecting your space, property and you!

Before we say, “Done! All is Well” we make certain that is, indeed, the case. The owner of TradeMark, Vasilios, will personally complete a detailed walk-through with you to be certain every last detail is done to your satisfaction.

Do you offer free estimates?

Our process is different from those used by most contractors because we follow a design-build process. We believe the biggest reason so many homeowners have a bad experience with their home or business renovation is that there is far too little time spent in the planning process. It is impossible that a ‘free estimate’ completed by a contractor in a few minutes – or even in a few hours – will take into consideration the critical design and development aspects of your project. Important details of your project that were glossed over or completely overlooked can result in change orders, delays, cost overruns, and frustration. Do you offer free estimates to investors?

Due to the time required to compile a written estimate for an entire house we do charge a fee. We can schedule on-site appointments for advice as well. Many investors appreciate expert advice to determine if a purchase will have a good return on investment. A fee applies and is based on the scope of work. Are your subcontractors reputable and experienced?

We have long-standing relationships with our trade contractors such as Electricians, plumbers, and HVAC , who have the expertise and knowledge to perform their part of the project the right way, the first time, and in compliance with all applicable building codes.

How long does an in home consultation takes ?

It depends on the scope of your project. Though it may not take this long, our estimators block two hours on their schedule to meet with you in your home or business.
